HySpire Labrador Retrievers
Puppies Available
HySpire has been breeding, training and showing Labrador Retrievers for 47 years. First and foremost we are committed to breeding dogs with the typical Labrador temperament that has made the breed the number one registered dog in the USA by far, for over twenty years. We know the typical Labrador temperament is a companion dog that loves to go chase a ball, hunt, go for a run, or a swim and yet is just as happy to lay in front of the fire all day and help you watch the football game or a favorite chick flick and even help you eat the chips and dip. This is the true Labrador temperament and we do not accept anything less at HySpire. At the same time we do not ignore the important natural ability for retrieving that makes the Labrador Retriever not only one of the most used hunting dogs, but also the most used breed as service dogs in the world. We always strive to go above and beyond on the health clearances for our dogs before ever breeding, always trying to produce a healthier, happier dog sound in both mind and body, and a more beautiful dog as well. We breed to get a dog for ourselves to further our breeding program but do sell some pups as companion pets. These dogs are always sold on an AKC Limited Registration which means they can never be used for breeding purposes and no puppies of theirs would ever be able to be registered. We believe that breeding dogs is a huge responsibility and should be done by those who are breeding to better the breed and have invested their time in learning all that is involved in doing so in the proper manner to protect the breed and the dog population in general. We love Labrador Retrievers and we are dedicated to the betterment of this wonderful breed and will always protect their future.
We do not breed nor endorse the Silver, Charcoal or Champagne as none of these colors are accepted by the AKC in this breed. This color has only been achieved by introducing another breed with a totally different temperament into the gene pool and riding right along with that color gene comes an atypical temperament for a Labrador, as well as a whole new set of genetic diseases. Please purchase from a reputable breeder whose dogs are 100% Labrador if that is the breed you choose.
