We are currently building our “Breeder Search” section of Go Puppy. This section is expected to be completed by early June, 2016.
Go Puppy strives to retain an ethical environment for both Breeders and Puppy Owners. Our site has strict regulations regarding puppy mills, unethical Breeders, and Breeders who purposefully breed against the defined breed standards. Our site is membership only: Breeders must be in good standing with their local and/or parent club or within their breeding community.
Our goal is to provide you, the Puppy Owner, with a secure site to search for Breeders who believe in the perseverance of their breed with a mission to improve the continuity of their dogs from one generation to the next. While the AKC does offer an abundant amount of resources regarding breeds, breed standards, events, and clubs, they do not police Breeders regarding the adherence of breed standards. Likewise, the AKC does not police the appropriate clearances needed regarding breeding a healthy litter.
In the interim, we recommend you search for puppies and older dogs available through local or national breed clubs. For example, the Labrador Breed Clubs or the Golden Retriever Club of America.
